It doesn’t matter whether you’re looking to remove dog urine smell from fabric or you need to know how to get cat pee smell out of clothes, the method is the same. INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Apply 2ml of gel and rub into stain using the top of the dosage cap.
  2. Leave the gel on the stain for 10 minutes maximum.
  3. After soaking, wash in machine as normal. Dose your usual detergent and add a 50ml dose of Vanish Gel.
  4. Use a dose in every wash to help your clothes live for longer!

Tips

  • Act quickly. This is the crucial first step. The faster you get to it, the more chance you’ll have of successfully getting rid of cat or dog smell.
  • Rinse and blot. Rinse out the affected area with cold, clean water first. Then blot the area dry (rather than rub) with paper towels – rubbing could push the odour deeper into the material.
  • Pre-treat. If you throw your smelly clothing in the machine straight away, you run the risk of the odour setting in – and even spreading to everything else in your load. Avoid this by pre-treating with our Oxi Advance formula (see steps 1 and 2 in instructions above) to remove the dog or cat urine smell as much as possible.
  • Be cool. When you put the clothing in your washing machine (on its own) you’ll want to use a cold/lukewarm setting, like 30°C, as hot water could set in the smell.
  • Air dry. Do this rather than tumble dry, as heat could permanently set in the odour.
